Joint and combined "Individual Military Training" session for CIMIC operators in order to increase readiness within NATO
La Comina, November 12th, 2021.
The Individual Military Training session took place from 2nd to 12th November 2021, which involved the MNCG HQ staff personnel. This session, aimed at increasing the procedures and tactics in a joint and combined perspective, had the objective of maintaining and improving the level of preparation of CIMIC operators, readily deployable anywhere and in a short period of time, as demonstrated by the recent participation of a specialized asset to Operation Allied Solace in order to facilitate the safe resettlement of those evacuated from Afghanistan in August as quickly and safely as possible.
The training, which took place in various training areas, included various theoretical and practical activities aimed at the upcoming NATO Combat Readiness Evaluation (CREVAL) scheduled for the fourth week of November. The goal is to always maintain a high level of readiness to respond to the needs of the Atlantic Alliance, through the NATO Response Force (NRF) package, and continue to be a point of reference for the operational function of civil-military cooperation at international level. The lessons, about general topics during the first week and focused on the different operational theaters in the second one, range from Counter Improvised Explosive Device (IED) to Public Information, from shooting activities to CBRN sessions, as well as, obviously, on civil-military cooperation.
