MNCG Operators put the Djibuti Basketball Federation at the center of a Quick Impact Project

In recent weeks, the Italian Military Support Base (BMIS) staff, belonging to the CIMIC cell, donated sports material and equipment to the local Basketball Federation in order to increase its logistical capabilities and, therefore, the opportunities to be able to welcome more athletes into the association. The aim is to create aggregation among local young people through sport and to promote equity and social integration, in a context of widespread poverty that limits access to basic services. Younger people, in fact, are more exposed to risks associated with involvement with criminal organizations precisely due to the absence of an inclusive or cultural system that can guarantee a legally shared future. These projects arise from a careful examination of the territory and the social environment that allows the Multinational CIMIC Group operators to be able to collaborate with social groups that are otherwise difficult to reach.
