MNCG HANDS OVER EQUIPMENT TO BOOST SOMALI POLICE CAPACITY BUILDING
Multinational CIMIC Group Operators, ensuring better security conditions for the Benadir region inhabitants, provide equipment and support to the Somali Custodial Corps and Police Forces

During summer 2022 a wide range of activities in support of the local Police Forces were undertaken by MNCG CIMIC specialists deployed in Somalia, that developed several civil and military cooperation projects to sustain the Somali Custodial Corps and Police Forces capacities and capabilities.
Among these,the distribution of radio equipment in support of the correction agents defending the Mogadishu main prison and the delivery of passive defense equipments in new checkpoints scattered along the main streets of the western part of the Capital assumes a particular importance.
The implementation of security is one of the objectives that the CIMIC operators deployed in Somalia have set. MNCG specialists’ intent is to strengthen the capacities of the local Police Forces in order to guarantee a greater security framework to counter the militias attacks and help stabilizing those sensitive areas, which might be the target of terroristic attacks.
