Students Visiting The Multinational CIMIC Group
During the school trip to Bosnia, students spent the morning at the CIMIC pole of excellence.
Motta di Livenza (TV), 14 January 2019. This morning, from 9 to 13 in the afternoon, the “Mario Fiore” barracks of Motta di Livenza, home of the Multinational CIMIC Group, has hosted thirty students of the last classes of the Institute of Higher Education “Galileo Galilei” of Bolzano, in transit from the Region Veneto, to reach the cities of Sarajevo, Monstar and Srebrenica in Bosnia Herzegovina, in which the journey of education, included in the project called “History of yesterday, reality today”.
On this occasion, the pupils of the "Galilei" School Pole, welcomed by the Commander of Multinational CIMIC Group, Colonnello Luca Vitali, have been informed about the activities carried out in Bosnia by the military of the National contingent, in the long period of stay in that country, to then approach the reality of the department, retracing, together with the operators present, the historical events and activities in the many operations abroad. After an initial period in the classroom, the students accompanied by their Professors, they were thus introduced into the world of CIMIC by visiting the barracks, the stands, the rooms destined for daily operations as well as a static display of vehicles and equipment.
Beside the visit, Colonnello Vitali presented a certificate of recognition to the company "Pro Fire" of Bolzano, a leading company in the field of protection and safety, for providing equipment technical-individual and clothing at the Fire Department and Mogadishu emergency services, in the framework of a project developed by the CIMIC Cell in the year just passed.
The Multinational CIMIC Group, an Army unit of inter-force and multinational value, counts among the contributing nations, beyond Italy, Greece, Portugal, Romania, Slovenia and Hungary, and today represents a real its center of excellence for the training of operators working in the delicate sector of civil-military cooperation.
